The powder used for the process is a mixture of finely ground particles of resin, pigment, modifiers, and curing agent. Powder is applied electrostatically by charging the powder particles and applying them directly to the grounded surfaces until it enters a curing oven where the powder particles melt, bond and cure to the desired surface.
